Israeli War Cabinet Minister Hits Those Demanding 'Ceasefire' With a Blunt Truth

Amid constant criticisms against Israel for its war against Hamas and calls for a ceasefire, the Jewish state remains resolution in its efforts to eradicate Hamas. Members of Israel’s government have spoken forcefully about the need to remove the threat coming from the terrorist group and identifies it as the primary impediment to peace in the region.

There has been an issue with the plight of civilians on both sides of the conflict. Yet, the anti-Israel crowd has routinely pilloried Israel for noncombatant casualties in Gaza, blaming Jerusalem for the fatalities despite the many actions Hamas has taken to ensure a higher number of civilian deaths...

During an address to the nation, War Cabinet Minister Benny Gantz discussed the fight against Hamas and noted that the terrorist group is responsible for the tragedies occurring in the region.

He also reminded regional leaders that they can assist with humanitarian aid to Gaza but they need to remember “that the reality requires a changed regime in Gaza.” Many of those calling for a ceasefire are doing so out of ignorance...

The bottom line is that Hamas’ destruction would be a positive step not only for Israel, but also for the Palestinians.

Mike Johnson Unveils His New Budget Plan, and It's Already Causing Controversy

With just days to go before a government shutdown, newly-installed House Speaker Mike Johnson has unveiled his budget plan, and it's already causing waves...

The plan involves what is being dubbed a "ladder CR," which essentially breaks the normal process down into two steps. That's being done in an attempt to appease the budget hawks in the GOP caucus.

In other words, there appears to be precious little difference between this approach and the one that got former Rep. Kevin McCarthy booted from the Speakership in early October. Rep. Chip Roy immediately voiced his opposition to Johnson's move.

Remember, the entire reason McCarthy was voted out by the "gang of eight" led by Rep. Matt Gaetz is that the eight percent spending cut he was negotiating wasn't enough. Now, it looks like there will be no spending cuts at all, with yet another clean CR kicking the can down the road...

With that said, the new Speaker's honeymoon is going to be over fairly quickly if the status quo is maintained. It'll be interesting to see what those who ousted McCarthy have to say about this new development.
