Israel Issues Ultimatum to Hamas: Release Hostages or Suffer the Consequences

In a bold declaration that could have a significant impact on the war in Gaza, Israel has issued a stern ultimatum to Hamas: Release the hostages or spend Ramadan dodging Israeli rockets. This development comes as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are working to rescue hostages taken during Hamas’ October 7 surprise attack on Israel.

The ultimatum was issued by Benny Gantz, a member of Israel’s war cabinet on Sunday. Gantz’s declaration was made during a conference in Jerusalem and was attended by several influential Jewish organizations from America. Rafah is one of the remaining strongholds for Hamas, as it tried to fend off Israel’s onslaught.

The Biden administration, along with other global leaders, have cautioned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against proceeding with the offensive without a “credible and executable plan” to ensure the safety of civilians. However, the prime minister has pushed back on those trying to convince him to go easier on the terrorist organization.

As Israel braces for an expanded conflict, the international community is watching. While Hamas is still active, the IDF could also have to contend with Hezbollah, an Iran-backed terrorist organization headquartered in Lebanon. The IDF has already had numerous skirmishes with the group along the Lebanon-Israel border.

George Santos Sues Jimmy Kimmel for Fraud and He May Just Have a Case

George Santos may have been kicked out of Congress, but he is refusing to lie down as the left's punching bag. Santos, who served as the Congressman for New York's 3rd Congressional District before being expelled from the House of Representatives last December over his long history of fraudulent activity, has filed a lawsuit against late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel for misusing his Cameo videos on his show.

According to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Saturday, first reported by The New York Post, Santos is seeking $750,000 from Kimmel for copyright infringement, fraud, breach of contract, and unjust enrichment.

The lawsuit alleges that Kimmel requested at least 14 videos from Santos on the platform Cameo, where celebrities and influencers can sell short videos to their fans or other members of the public. The complaint claims that Kimmel “played on the comedic irony of possibly getting sued by [Santos] for fraud, claiming [on his show] that it would be a ‘dream come true.’”

During the December show in which he played the clips, Kimmel even joked about the possibility of being sued by Santos. Shortly after Kimmel's show in December, Santos's lawyers sent a cease and desist letter to the late-night funnyman warning that they would follow through with legal action unless he stopped sharing the clips.
