American Fact of the Day!

Liberty Bell has a typo on it: The Liberty Bell is one of the most iconic artefacts from the American independence and if you look closely, you’ll spot a spelling mistake! The world ‘Pennsylvania’ is spelled incorrectly by today’s standards, but it was actually an accepted form of spelling at the time the bell was engraved.

Bowman's New Remarks About Fire Alarm Get Nuked by Lawler, Then He Steps in It on Antisemitism

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) was censured by the House on December 7, for pulling the fire alarm as Democrats were trying to delay a vote over a government shutdown.

All he got after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor for pulling the alarm was a three-month probation, a $1,000 fine, and to apologize to the Capitol Police. Bowman was on CNN with Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) and addressed the fire alarm question, as well as antisemitism. It did not go well...

Bowman insisted that he didn't pull the fire alarm to delay the vote. He claimed his statements were consistent (they weren't), and that he hadn't been charged with an attempt to obstruct an official proceeding. He also said that he pulled it while in a rush to get to a vote.

The US Stands Alone, Vetoes UN Security Council Resolution Demanding Israel-Hamas Ceasefire

The United States vetoed a United Nations resolution Friday that demanded an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. The U.S. was the lone dissenter, with 13 countries on the Security Council voting for the measure and the United Kingdom abstaining. France and Japan were among those voting in favor.

Deputy U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Robert Wood told the council that the resolution was “divorced from reality.” Before the vote, Wood admitted what so many ceasefire advocates ignore: Hamas has no interest in peace, and a ceasefire would “only plant the seeds for the next war.”

The United States is one of the five permanent members of the council and, therefore, holds veto power. Erdan thanked America for its support, while also blasting the premise of the resolution.

The calls from so many regarding a permanent ceasefire ignore reality. They make it sound like a mutual thing, where both Israel and Hamas would put down their weapons, but in reality we all know that it would only be Israel standing down. Hamas has no intention of making peace with the Jewish state, and if Israel backs off, the terrorists will just wait for their next opportunity to create more carnage.

The situation in Gaza is indeed tragic, and civilians are getting killed in the battle. But the U.N. Security Council and the myriad groups calling for a ceasefire keep leaving out one thing: Hamas could negotiate one in five minutes.
